Emily Thornberry
Emily Thornberry is the Labour MP for Islington South and Finsbury, and the Shadow Attorney General. Thornberry joined the Labour Party when she was 17 and has lived in Islington for the last 27 years.
Thornberry has been a loud voice for women, campaigning for abortion rights in Northern Ireland, and speaking out after the murder of Sarah Everard. She has also spoken up to close the pay gap and support single women and lesbian couples in their fight for rights to IVF.
She continues to serve the people of Islington, speaking out against police risk-taking, and supporting those in need of housing. As with all women in politics, she continues to inspire young girls who are interested in politics and shows that women are valued in the political world.
