Tricia Marie ‘Shaznay’ Lewis
Tricia Marie Lewis, more commonly known as Shaznay Lewis, was born in Islington to a Barbadian father and a Jamaican mother. At age 18, she formed the band All Saints, going on to win the Ivor Novello prize for songwriting.
All Saints had its time in the limelight, their song ‘Never Ever’ is still heralded as one of the best girl band songs of all time. The band also supported charities such as The Willow Foundation and Get Loud. Shaznay also sang on the Band-Aid 20 re-recording of Do They Know Its Christmas Time.
Shaznay now lives a more private life, but her songs affected many people, and her talent for writing will be remembered forever.
